Move-in Cleaning is cleaning when you arrive in a new apartment. Even if the previous tenants handed it over as clean – that is their version of clean. We clean so the apartment is genuinely clean from the first day.

Deposits in Austria – what you need to know
In Austria, rental deposits are typically one to three months of rent. When a tenant moves out, the landlord is legally entitled to withhold part of the deposit if the apartment is returned in poor condition. This is common practice.
The most frequent complaints involve the kitchen and bathroom. Grease in the oven and on the extractor hood, limescale on bathroom fixtures, silicone discolouration – these are checked first. We give these areas particular attention.

Questions about move-in / move-out cleaning
Will move-out cleaning help me get my deposit back?
It significantly increases the chances. Most landlord complaints concern the kitchen and bathroom – exactly the areas we clean most thoroughly. We cannot guarantee the full deposit will be returned – that also depends on the overall condition of the apartment and the individual landlord. But the vast majority of our clients hand back apartments without any disputes.
How much does move-out cleaning cost in Vienna?
The price depends on the size of the apartment and its current condition. We do not publish a standard rate. The manager gives you an exact figure after confirming the details – before work starts. It does not change after.
How far in advance should I book the clean before moving out?
Ideally two to three days before you hand the apartment back. That leaves room for a follow-up visit if anything needs attention. If the timeline is tight – let the manager know and we will do our best to fit it in.
Do you wash the windows during a move-out clean?
Windows from the inside are included in the standard scope. Washing windows from the outside is an add-on at €36/hr. We can add it to the booking.
Can move-out and move-in cleaning be booked together?
Yes. That is the most common arrangement for landlords between tenancies. One visit – one booking – apartment ready both for handover and for the new tenants.
How long does a move-out clean take?
A one-bedroom apartment in average condition takes three to five hours. A two-bedroom takes longer. The manager gives an accurate estimate after confirming the details.
